I've read most of Mark's books and enjoyed them. It was disappointing to find out that Colin, like Marshall, can see the ghost cat, but it was never explained. Etienne also made a comment that he may be sticking around because of a particular purpose that wasn't defined. A deeper explanation of the supernatural versus all the fighting would have been more interesting. When I compare this book to his other works like A Better Place and The Heart of Graymoor, with its lavish depictions of another world, I was left wanting and miffed that I paid $9.99 for this book. I am hoping for a sequel that doesn't read like it was rushed and offers further details. I would have also liked to hear more about some of the supporting characters. Mark's books make me actually want to visit Indiana, and that's saying something after recent events.
Not Mark's best. Nothing surprised me other than what happened to throw Skye and Colin together. If this was your first Mark Roeder book to read, you would have been confused by all of the remarks from past stories (Skye's past, Devon's past, Tydannon). Loose ends to wrap up Brant, ghost cat, Max and Sam. What will happen with them? At the end of the book, I expected to read "To Be Continued" instead of "The End",
I own all of Mark's books (except one - The Picture of Dorian Gray). His previous book "Hate At First Site" was much better. At least the cover model was nice to look at and was easy to imagine that it was Colin.

Loved the book. Once again another great story of Skye.
Skye, has always been a fovorite character of mine. This time Skye is 26 and we get to really meet and know Colin, Skye's nephew. This is one of my favorite stories by mark Roeder and he has given me lots of favorite stories. I enjoy reconnecting with a character at a time when they are adults - good adults which Skye is very much so in this book.
Another great book by Mark Roader who has become one of my favorite authors. I own everything he has ever written.
The challenge would have been to write the story (a very good one) without using the sex scenes to entice some readers.
Skye and Collin always lift my spirits regardless of how many time s I read their story. Worth a read.
